I went to my Harvey Mudd reunion yesterday. I was surprised how few people from my class showed up. And then by the time dinner came around, was surprised how many actually showed up. I'll have to work on making sure more of them are linked in.
See you in five years! And I think the suggestion of having a picnic off-campus in the summer makes for a fine idea. Might be time for me to organize something. I you just invite people -- will they show up?
The engineering department is going to kick off a "one in 1000" donation campaign. They want 1000 donations of $1000. Well, in 50 years -- assuming 50 engineering graduates... that means nearly 50% have to donation. Ambitious.
The highlight of the day was Prof Benjamin and his mathemagics show. Someday I'll be able to square large numbers in my head, calculate the day of the week you were born, and more. I'm going to read his book Secrets of Mental Math
