baseball: personal longest game
We went to see the Padres play the Reds yesterday afternoon (1pm start.) My parents came with us...they see a lot more games but mostly for the Two for Tuesday. We left at 7pm after 18 innings. Adrian Gonzalez hit a three run home run for the Padres to win. We all agreed it was the longest game we'd ever seen.
The general rule in my opinion is that you can start cheering for either team after about 14 innings. We were mostly positive for Padres the entire game.
Earlier in the year, I saw part of the 22 inning game on TV -- but went to sleep long before that game was over. I also attended one of the 13 inning games and left in the 12th. The Padres lost before I got back to my car.
