This weekend, we went to another Cygnet Theater play: Yellowman. An African-American woman dreams about a life beyond her Carolina town. The real story though is about the racial tension within this community. Some of the play is hard to watch because it is so forceful and haunting. If you ever needed a reason not to drink alcohol, this might be one way to find it.
An excellent two person performance. Go see it. And if you have any doubts, read the reviews at Curtainup.
One interesting note, I found the polay at Dramatists Play Services. This site lets you apply for rights to perform these plays. I guess they don't really mind you reading them outloud at home without a performance license.
