    Sports: Baseball
You might think that this blog is just about sports. However, opening day of the baseball season deserves an entry. The Padres won! I wasn't there. Somehow over the course of time, I've forgotten the tradition of trying to attend opening day. In reality though, I see baseball as a fun diversion (there's that word again) and not a passion. Don't ask me stats or trivial, and in most cases, I won't even know the standings.

This season, I hope the Colorado Rockies play competitively, for my grandmother's sake. She likes to watch the games and follows baseball. And if the Padres play well, that's a bonus too. Above all though, I hope baseball this year can be about the game on the field and not the steroid scandal, or amphetemines, or the balls being bouncier, or egos, or the bickering of management and the union, or any of the other things that reminds us that major league baseball is a business and not a game that grown men play.

    PLAY BALL!
