Football Week 11 and 12
I had a long post. Lost due to a Firefox crash.
Week 11 and 12 finally saw the dynasty of the home field advantage erode with only 8 and then 7 wins for the home team. Winloss record is finally the best predictor and is now leading the yearlong SiriGames pickem contest by 1 over the PigskinPickerPrediction formula. I'm 5 games back and probably not in the running.
The Chargers had a shaky week and needed 10 in the 4th quarter to tie and another amazing effort by LT to win in Washington. His overtime touchdown will likely be included in his career highlight reel. The problem for the Bolts is math... with 5 games remaining (and the last 3 @Indy, @KC, and against Denver) they still need to 1) pick up a game on the Steelers (whose remaining schedule seems easier), 2) beat KC and win at least as many games as them (whose schedule may actually be more of a challenge than San Diego's), and 3) potentially catch Jacksonville which has an easy remaining schedule. Four wins is a must. And it may take all 5 to make the playoffs.
