Howdy. This is Bob. The Bob of Bob Blog. This blog contains about five minutes of my thoughts each day. A record. A history. And occasionally worth reading.

    Bike
Well, I finally decided that today was the day to bring the bikes into the shop for a tuneup last Thursday. $15 each. A lot less than we were expecting.

On Monday(?) I wrode down Froude to Dusty Rhodes dog park and met up with Sophia and Tender. Downhill is easy. The few rolling hills weren't a problem. Coming home was another story. My heartrate was probably in the red zone. I felt worked for about 20 minutes. 3 miles roundtrip.

Today I rode down the San Diego River bikepath to Pacific Highway and then back along the Sea World Drive bikepath. Perhaps 8 miles. Same hills, but I took Ebers instead of Froude which doesn't do the rolling bit and I shifted all the way down and didn't try to stand up to go faster. It's only been 10 minutes but I'm breathing normal.

I few more trips and the final hill won't be bad.

    Route ideas:

    - around Mission Bay

    - along the harbor and perhaps the ferry over to Coronado

    - up Fish Creek/Split Mountain Wash in AnzaBorrego

    - to work (crazy talk!)

    - Mission Beach and Pacific Beach

    - Camp Pendleton

    - Miramar Lake

And here's the San Diego Bikepath Map (oops. Can't find an online version.)
But Philip J. Erdelsky was taken the time to describe most of the red routes.
